Our adventure kicks off in the morning with a seamless pickup from your hotel/riad/bus station. Traverse the Tizi-n-Tichka Atlas pass, where panoramic vistas of the majestic mountains unfold. Pause at the timeless Berber village of Telouet before delving into the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ait Benhaddou. This breathtaking fortified village, or Ksour, is a testament to Morocco’s rich history. Indulge in a delightful lunch at Ait Benhaddou or Ouarzazate before continuing our odyssey to the captivating Dades Valley. Unwind in the evening at a charming riad/hotel nestled in the heart of Dades Gorges.
Awaken your senses with a delicious breakfast, setting the tone for a day filled with wonders. Traverse the rugged landscapes from Dades Gorges to the Erg Chebbi Sahara desert in Merzouga. Pass by Berber villages, each a mosaic of culture and tradition, including Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud. Feel the allure of the Saharan oasis of Tafilalet as we approach Merzouga. Upon arrival, embark on a camel ride into the dunes, where Nomad Berber tents await, draped in the magic of the Sahara. Greet the day with the splendor of a Sahara sunrise before returning to Merzouga on camelback. After a revitalizing breakfast and a refreshing shower, our expedition takes us through the captivating Berber villages of the Atlas Mountains (Alnif, Tazarine, Agdz, Draa Valley). Absorb the diverse landscapes and cultures as we traverse this picturesque route. As evening approaches, we find ourselves in Ouarzazate, a city steeped in cinematic history.
Bid farewell to Ouarzazate as we embark on our return journey. Traverse the High Atlas Mountains, reaching the zenith at Tizi n Tichka, 2260 meters above sea level. Be captivated by the awe-inspiring views of valleys, mountains, and Berber villages dotting the landscape. As the sun dips below the horizon, we arrive in Marrakech, bringing a conclusion to an enchanting odyssey filled with cultural riches and natural wonders.
